Cranford has been fighting to save those in need since he was old enough to hold a G.I.Joe and a box full of plastic green army men. Back then he was saving the world from monsters and cartoon villains. A lot of things in the world have changed through the years, but Cranford’s desire to fight for others hasn’t, and there are still monsters and villains to deal with. In high school he volunteered on a rural fire department and…

My life purpose seems to be a conundrum. I believe in non-violence. I believe in peace. I don’t like to hear about people hurting other people or animals. And yet I was drawn to “fighting” from a very young age. All my childhood games and playing revolved around being a soldier, a special agent, a police officer. Surprisingly, I have now been all of those things and more. I have been trained how to do very violent things in order…
It was 8:00pm on a Saturday night, and I was already curled up in bed reading a book. My husband is in the army and was at an out-of-state, month-long training, and, while I enjoyed relaxing nights by myself, I also hated being alone in our house. Halfway through my novel, I heard a crunching outside my window, like someone stepping on leaves. I automatically froze up and panicked. What if someone was about to break in? Where would I…
The far reaching effects of abuse are amazing. It is amazing how you can be going through your every day life, and BAM! you are now responding to something that “feels” connected to your past, even if it’s not, and you suddenly feel unsafe again (the crap). I have experienced this many times. It was when I had finally “had enough” of the debilitating behaviors that were associated to abuses I experienced as a small girl and as a young…
Hello! I’m Penny. I am so excited to be part of your journey. A journey that won’t just help you FEEL safer, but to actually BE safer, BE more confident, and to actually BE able to take care of yourself when bad things happen. I’ve had quite an interesting journey of my own and am still a work in progress (is there ever a finish line for any of us?). As a woman, I know what it is to be…
As the title says, “Hello and Welcome!” I just want to share a little more information about who I am (beyond what is on the “about” page) and what it is that I am doing and what I am trying to accomplish. My name is Cranford Blackmon. I was born in the deep south but have lived all over the country and in other countries as well (thanks to Uncle Sam – yes, I’m a veteran). That has given me…
